II. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

MDC George O. White State Nursery Needs Your Help!

Urgently in need volunteers to work at the nursery in Licking, MO the first two weeks of February (January 31-February 11).  The first two weeks of February the nursery must ship a large/high volume of seedlings to customers (including partners).  Following CDC guidance and MDC COVID protocols, volunteers will be working inside helping to prepare trees for shipping. Masks will be required. There is a small possibility that help will also be needed outside.  This is an outstanding opportunity to see the State Forest Nursery work in full operations mode. This will be dirty work and it’ll be fun!

To learn more contact Nursery Supervisor Mike Fiaoni at mike.fiaoni@mdc.mo.gov or Dena Biram, Nursery Manager at dena.biram@mdc.mo.gov
